Savants

In this video we saw in class I learned a lot of things and was very impressed with some of them. Some of the things that impressed me was the guy that could memorize and knew the dates to all the days that earth hade ever had. He knew the exact day that any day of the world was; therefore he practically said the day that any event happened. This guy felt that the numbers here his friends and those they followed him. He clearly was a savant, but he had bad social skilled. He had trouble socializing. Many savants have great and extordanary abilities like knowing a lot of info, or reading fast, but they lack a lot more.

Chess

In this video we saw in class I learned a lot of things and was very impressed with some of them. It was very interesting to watch how the Russian lady could memorize the chess board and remember all the position of the chips. I was also impressed by the waiter that could memorize the orders of the table without writing a thing. What both the Russian chess playing lady and the Spanish waiter was that hey use the method of chunking, where they divided the information in chunks and them memorized it. This reduced the information for them and made it easier to memorize and remember for their designated areas. I wish I could do that so I could remember al of the answers and information to the tests I have trouble with.

Intelligence

In this video I was shock by the young Chinese boy that could play piano since he was like three years old. It was incredible how he new the notes and sounds from memory. In my opinion this young boy was made a genius. His mother played music since he was in her stomach, so when he was born he knew the songs by memory. This made a critical difference in his brain. Nurture also affected the girl who all her life was locked in a room until it she was found when she was twelve. I think that when I have a kid I will show him thing form an early age like the alphabet, letters, numbers, speech, how to speak, and how to socialize. I will also put him in and early nursery so he could have a better chance to be a better student

Homosexuality

The video we saw in class about homosexuality was a very interesting thing to watch. It showed me a lot about the theory nature vs. nurture. Although they proved many theories about how they are born like that, I still believe that the Homos are made Homos. Despite their nature of being homosexuals, the parents should nurture them in the right way. In the video of the two twins we saw that the mom influenced the homo kid to be the way he is because when he was a kid he asked for a Barbie and the mom gave it to him anyway. She did not want to make him sad so she just made him a weirdo! Some people and some “experts say” that it is some kind of a mental problem that the gays have, but in my opinion that is not a mental problem, it is they way they are raised is the problem! I also learned that homos show their defects since a young age. In conclusion, since the day parents see that their child is acting in a way of they’re opposite sex, they should look for help to fix their child.

Delinquents!!!!!

 

            In the documentary called “in the mind of a murderer” the delinquents are shown as innocent people that only have brain injury, and say that there actions and attitude against other people is the effect of the persons previous experience. They’re where two criminals shown in the videos, on killed his family out of the blue, and the other was dedicated to killing women. The whole video is telling about this woman who wants to save the criminals because she says that they are innocent because they have brain damage because of how they were treated when they were younger. Even though it might be true that the criminals might have a traumatizing event in their past, but that does not justice that they are free of charge, they killed a person and through the eyes of God, that mean and internal life time of disperse and hate. If a criminal was convicted and he is test for a brain injury from his past he might just lie and say that ye he did, giving him the freedom and the choice to becoming a free man. Although I strongly disagree with the lady, I still think every one deserves a second chance, so they should till go to prison, but not go to a death sentence.

Dramatic Brain Injery

            In the series of videos show to use in class were about people who have lived with brain injuries. All of the individual people had different degrees of brain injuries some had a more effective brain injury. They all gained the brain injury; they were not born with it. They had various problems with communications, some los there vocal abilities, they could not talk, they where difficult to understand. This mad me feel sad for all of the people with brain injury. They could not help it the way they moved and acted where cause of their accident that caused the injury. Some people judge them to be born retarder, but they where in an accident that lead to the reatardednes. The only solution to this problem is a serious medical look at the problem or therapy. Too many people with very harsh brain damage where made kind off normal with therapy.

Mind Reading

In this short documentary about the mysteries of mind reading I learned that we, as a human raise have developed this capacity through out technology. With huge machine the human brain’s thought could be decoded in a way that lets the public know what the brain of the certain person is thinking at that time. One of the guys in this video mentions that in three to five years the technological machines will be able to read much more than just simple objects and emotions, it will be able to tell us larger phrases. This comment that he mad gave m e a sort of scary feeling, the thought of someone being able to tell what I am thinking makes me think that criminals will have a bigger and brighter sense one how will be a better victim. This could be used in a positive way; for example, it could be use by cops or by the government to solve hard cases or to fix specific problems. In conclusion the idea of someone reading your mind, thoughts, personal ideas, etc. Makes me feel insecure of my surrounding a makes me fear the fact of the mind readers.

Importence of Sleep



 

One of the most essential parts of a teens' life is sleep. For the young population in the world, more than eight hours of sleep should be accomplished to get a full repair on your bones, muscles, and other important organs. With all the technology in the twenty-first century the teenagers today are receiving a smaller percentage of sleep than they should be getting. This might mean that their grades will come plummeting down, their casual mood swings will be seen in a more frequent variety, and obviously he will lack listening and attention skills during school and other activities, because of the small amount of sleep the teenager receives during his puberty period. This lack will not only affect the young adult, but it will also affect the people around him like his / her friends, loved ones, or other meaningful people. Some school have changed their school schedules to start at a latter hour, but this type of things eliminate essential time like after school activities, doctor appointments, family time, and homework. The only solution to this problem is to make every single teacher in each school give the students a lower amount of homework, or reducing the amount of technology use per day.
